Original Post: Hello, faithful fans. Just wanted to mention that the d.iscontent roster will be playing live in Occidental Park, in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, on Saturday August 21st, as part of the ongoing Music in the Square series. We’ll be playing alongside DJ Veins and Ill Cosby, and there will be an open decks segment after we play, which serves as an audition round for entry into this years Battle of the MegaMixes. It’s a free outdoor show, so make sure you don’t miss out.

Also check out the lineup on this Saturday, Aug. 14th. You’ll be able to catch a live set by Gunnar Lockwood, a friend of d.iscontent, along with DJ Eddie, Epaulettes, and Electrosect.

From now until the end of September, Pioneer Square will be featuring a new outdoor market from 11am – 5pm every Saturday. The Seattle Square, located in Occidental Park, features a wide range of vintage and craft vendors; selling everything from locally designed clothing, to handmade housewares and accessories, to mid-century furniture. A rotating selection of Seattle’s mobile food vendors serve up a variety of fantastic eats set to a live soundtrack, hand crafted by a rotating cast of local DJ’s. Come take a stroll through Seattle’s newest outdoor market in its oldest neighborhood.

First, we have a collection of remixes from the recent Miniature Airlines album Arrivals & Departures. Since the album’s release, a group of the finest producers from Cascadia and beyond have been tirelessly deconstructing, reconstructing, rearranging, and manipulating bits and pieces of these songs, and the results are stunning. If all goes well, this collection of 10 tracks will be up on the d.iscontent Server of Doom by next Tuesday, just waiting for you to download it.

And as if one upcoming release wasn’t enough, we’d also like to remind you that Hjalti’s next epic musical journey is nearing completion. The as-yet-untitled opus has been revised, refined, and extended over a series of months, and has already been performed twice in partial, incomplete form. In fact, you can hear a preview of the in-progress version right here. If all goes well, we’ll be able to hear this in it’s final form this Fall. Stay tuned…

Finally, if you’d like to see a live preview of the new Hjalti album, along with a set by Miniature Airlines, plus a special guest or two, keep your eyes opened for our next live performance later this month. Naturally, details will be posted here  soon. It will be a free, outdoor show, so you have no excuse to miss it.

Miniature Airlines has completed the mixing of his new full-length album, Arrivals & Departures, and will be releasing it in the coming weeks. As if that’s not enough, a follow-up remix EP will appear soon afterwards, featuring the talents of several remarkable producers, some new and some familiar.

Meanwhile, Hjalti is slaving away at a new album as well, an album which, judging from what small previews we have been graced with so far, delves deep and delivers a fresh take on his signature combination of austere beauty and pummeling intensity.

As if that weren’t enough, both artists will be performing brand new material live in person at the Living Room bar on Seattle’s Capitol Hill. DJ Verse is hosting a twice-monthly night known as Show & Tell, which is quickly becoming one of the best spots to hear fresh new music being unveiled by a steady stream of Seattle’s brightest.
